Course Overview

The participants will develop a plan for the following: 

  • detection; 
  • public notification; 
  • isolation; 
  • safe excavation; 
  • watermain repair; 
  • disinfection; 
  • flushing; 
  • pressure testing;
  • bacteriological sampling; 
  • documenting and returning the watermain to service; 
  • latest disinfection methods as to how they pertain to watermain breaks will also be covered.
