Course Overview

Learning objectives include:  

  • how to perform a jar test, 
  • select the proper coagulant and determine the dosage and 
  • adjust chemical feed rates
  • It also trains students to 
  • select optimum speeds for flash mixers and flocculators
  • collect samples from the coagulation and flocculation basins 
  • start-up and shut down a coagulation-flocculation process 
  • operate and maintain coagulation-flocculation processes
